Web Design Agencies in Dallas, Texas: Measuring What Your Website Does, and Five Firms to Compare

Contents: 6 sections

Data runs through how two of these Dallas firms describe their work: ioVista lists marketing analytics, and Imaginuity calls its strategy data-driven. Across all five, the descriptions range from custom WordPress sites to e-commerce, branding, and marketing for franchise and multi-location brands, with offices in the West End and on Main Street, Wycliff Avenue, Spring Valley Road, and the LBJ Freeway. Before any of them builds your site, agree on what the site is supposed to get visitors to do, and how you will know when they do it.

Measuring What Your Site Does: Questions for a Dallas Firm

Decide what counts before launch

Google Analytics has a name for the actions that matter to a business. Its help pages call them key events and describe the purpose as helping you “Measure actions that are important to your business and evaluate the marketing channels that lead users to take those actions.” The setup, in Google’s words: “To measure a key event, you must create or identify an event that measures the important user interaction and then mark the event as a key event.”

Before design starts, write a short list of the actions that would tell you the site is working for your business. For a service company, that might be a quote request, a booked appointment, and a tap on the phone number. For a store, it is an order. For a membership organization, it may be a sign-up. Give the list to each firm you are speaking with, and ask how it would record each action and how you would see the results.

Forms, calls, and orders

Each kind of action is recorded differently, so ask about them one at a time. For forms, ask how a completed submission will be counted and where it will appear. For phone calls, ask whether taps on the phone number will be recorded and whether calls placed by dialing the number by hand can be counted at all. For orders, ask how the value of each order will appear, and whether refunds and cancellations will be reflected.

A related question is how the firm will keep spam form submissions out of the numbers, so that a burst of automated messages does not look like a good week.

Two firms here describe online store work. ioVista calls itself a digital eCommerce agency, and Red Spot Design’s description of its store work mentions “reporting you can act on.” If you sell online, ask any firm what its store reports will show and who will explain them to you.

Test every action before launch

Ask the firm to walk through each action on your list before the site goes live: a test form submission, a test booking, a tap on the phone number, and, for a store, a test order. Then ask it to show you each of those test actions arriving in your reports. Ask how test activity will be kept out of your real numbers, and ask for the same walk-through after any major change to the site.

Measuring more than one location

A business with several locations may need to know which location each inquiry is for. Imaginuity describes itself as a franchise and multi-location marketing agency and says its Pylot platform “centralizes leads and performance across every property” for commercial real estate portfolios.

If you run more than one location, ask whether each will have its own page, whether inquiries will be sent to the right location automatically, and whether results can be viewed location by location as well as for the business as a whole. Ask who will be able to see each location’s results, since a franchise owner and a head office may need different views.

Write the measurement plan down

A measurement setup can break without anyone noticing. A redesigned form, a new thank-you page, or a changed booking tool can stop an action from being recorded. Ask the firm to hand over a written measurement plan with the site. For each action on your list, the plan should say:

  • how the action is recorded;
  • where it appears in your reports;
  • how it was tested before launch.

Then agree on who will check the plan whenever the site changes. Settle one more point before launch rather than after: how the tracking will respect the choices visitors make about cookies and data collection on your site.

How Firms Are Listed

Firms appear in alphabetical order, which is not a ranking. A firm is included when its own website gives a Dallas address and lists website design or development among its services, and when that website could be opened for checking. The list does not cover every web design firm in Dallas. Addresses, phone numbers, and service descriptions come from each firm’s website, and descriptions of Google Analytics key events are quoted from Google’s Analytics Help; all were checked in September 2026.
